Film Screening: TRAD

This tour of Trad is brought to you by Collective, an initiative from Film Hub NI and Queen’s Film Theatre that brings the best of homegrown film directly to audiences. 

Winner of the audience award at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh, Trad is a hugely entertaining celebration of Irish music, written and directed by Lance Daly (Kisses, Black ’47).

An Coire is proud to present Trad as part of the Fleadh at Queen’s programme which celebrates Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026 coming to Belfast for the first time and the rich tradition of Irish music and heritage.

From their home in the Donegal Gaeltacht, gifted fiddle player Shóna McAnally and her little brother Mickey take to the road with a troupe of wandering musicians, on a cross-country journey of adventure, romance, and musical exploration.
