Ar na mallaibh...
Cheque presentations were made recently by members of Clann Uí Caiside to Carntogher Community Association and to Fort Centre RDA.
Bhí siúlóid eagraiteh ar Domhnach na slat i gcuimhne ar Thomás Ó Caiside. Tógadh a lán airgid ar an lá agus a bhuíochas de fhlaithiúlacht na ndaoine ar fad a bhí i láthair ar an lá.
Money was donated by people taking part on the traditional walk on the Carn on Palm Sunday and a total of £1800 was raised. The collection was done in memory of Tomás Ó Caiside and the family wished that the proceeds were split to go to the local charity The Fort Riding Centre and also towards Irish Language Scholarships for young people to attend summer courses in the Gaeltacht with the scholarships to the Gaeltacht being distributed through Carntogher Community Association.
Following the walk on the Carn, refreshments were provided in An Coire, with soup donated by Arbutus Catering and sandwiches, sweet breads, cakes and biscuits donated by members of the community. GRMA!!
Lá speisialta ar fad a bhí ann agus tá Clann Uí Caiside iontach buíoch ar fad as dea-chroí an mhórcheantair.
The Cassidy family would like to thank everyone for the generous donations, and also for those who helped in anyway, with stewarding and parking on the mountain, for help with the refreshments and helping to organise the event.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh uilig!
